Report: China, Iran Trade $8.8bn Non-Oil Goods in 4 Months

TEHRAN (Dispatches) - Chinese Customs Department in a report underlined that Chinese and Iranian merchants have exchanged $8.8 billion worth of goods in the first 4 months of 2019.
The volume of non-oil trades between Iran and China amounted to $8.8 billion in the first four months of 2019, according to the report.
China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, and India are among the top destinations for Iranian goods in Asia.
During the 17th joint commission of economic cooperation between Iran and China in Beijing in March, the two sides discussed ways for the further broadening of bilateral trade and economic relations.
The meeting was headed by Iranian Economy Minister Farhad Dejpasand and Chinese Commerce Minister Zhong Shan.
During the meeting, the two high-ranking officials underlined bolstering bilateral relations, and studied ways to remove obstacles on the way of the development of trade and economic cooperation.
Also, two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed by the Chinese and Iranian Chambers of Commerce as well as the Iranian Chamber of Industries, Mines and Agriculture and the Chinese Chamber of Exporters of Medicine.
