Bolton Planned JCPOA Exit Before Joining Team Trump

TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- Iran’s Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif has tweeted a 2017 article by John Bolton that was published in the National Review magazine before he was appointed U.S. national security advisor.
In the tweet, Zarif addressed U.S. President Donald Trump, saying that Bolton, along with the so-called "B-Team”, had been planning to get Washington out of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action even before joining Team Trump.
The hawkish "B-team” is comprised of Bolton, Zionist PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Zarif included in his tweet the link to Bolton’s 2017 article in which the hawkish American politician reflected on how the United States could get out of the Iran nuclear deal.
Trump withdrew Washington in May 2018 from the historic nuclear agreement and decided to reimpose unilateral sanctions against Tehran.
Earlier this month, Iran announced that it would stop exporting excess uranium and heavy water, setting a 60-day deadline for the five remaining parties to the deal to take practical measures towards ensuring Iran’s interests in the face of the American sanctions.
Zarif also alluded to recent reports that the White House had given Swiss authorities a phone number which Iranian officials could use to reach Trump, who earlier encouraged them to call him as relations hit a new low.
"A detailed blueprint for #FakeIntelligence, #ForeverWar and even empty offers for talks—only phone numbers were not included,” Zarif wrote.
