Leader: Nation Should Take Up Battle Formation

TEHRAN (Dispatches) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday stressed the need for the Iranian nation to take up battle formations in the face of the enemy’s political, economic and intelligence threats.
In an address to a gathering of Iranian teachers here, Ayatollah Khamenei warned of the enemy’s "battle formation” and its attacks in cyberspace as well as its attempts to infiltrate intelligence organs.
"The U.S. and Zionism are plotting and acting (against Iran) in all areas,” the Leader said, adding that the current U.S. administration has revealed the American iron fist that used to be in a velvet glove.
"In the face of the enemy’s battle formation against the Iranian nation, the nation should take up an appropriate formation likewise,” Ayatollah Khamenei underlined.
"The enemy apparently has no battle formation in the military sphere, but our military forces are vigilant nonetheless,” the Leader said.
Reiterating the importance of unity and solidarity among all Iranians, Ayatollah Khamenei said the enemy’s plots against Iran will backfire.
"America and Zionism are planning and making moves in all areas. Of course, this is not unique to the current American administration. Previous administrations have also done the same things with velvet gloves. But the help the current president has given us is that he has taken off these gloves and everyone can see what they have hidden underneath,” the Leader said.
The Leader also pointed to hostile plots aimed at causing cultural damage to Iran, saying the essence of the foreign-devised global education agenda –known as Education 2030– is promoting an educational system that trains children in Western philosophy of life, lifestyle and meaning of life.
Extolling the benefits of Iran’s own grand document on the evolution of education, the Leader stressed the need for careful implementation of the scheme.
"The healthy education system we seek would nurture wise, capable, thoughtful, virtuous, pious, chaste, efficient, ingenious, brave and practical men and women - those who would not fear the enemy and would not evade or neglect their responsibilities.”
Ayatollah Khamenei described such an educational system as the prerequisite to the ideal status Iran would win in science and knowledge where anyone would feel the need for learning Persian in order to acquire knowledge, asserting that: If we have such an educational system, the country would get to what I wished for and promised: the status where anyone who seeks to comprehend the frontiers of science would need to learn Persian. The education of such youth is the foundation for the Iran of tomorrow.
Education 2030 is part of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In May 2017, Ayatollah Khamenei said Education 2030 is founded on "corrupt and devastating Western lifestyle” and is unacceptable in Islamic Iran.
