Iran-Iraq Fraternity Amidst Floods Frightens Common Foes

"Is the requital of goodness aught but goodness?” (Holy Qur’an 55:60)
This is what God Almighty says in his final and universal revelation to mankind.
The message of the holy Qur’an is being practically demonstrated at its brilliant best these days with hundreds of volunteers from neighbouring Iraq crossing into Iran, accompanied by truck loads of relief for the flood victims in Khuzestan Province.
It should be called the finest spirit of Islamic brotherhood which knows no borders – whether geographical or political – neither is unnaturally restricted to ethnicity or the colour of skin, nor is it separated by the superficial barriers of language.
"A friend in need is a friend indeed”, goes an English adage, and the Iraqi Muslim people who have always felt indebted to the timely support provided by their Iranian brethren over the past four decades – during the reign of terror of Saddam, during the American occupation, and during the recent campaign to weed out Takfiri terrorism – have now got the opportunity to repay goodwill when parts of the Islamic Republic have been inundated by swollen rivers.
It was a refreshing sight to watch on TV and hear Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis – a leader of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU or Hashd ash-Sha’bi) – speaking in flawless Persian during relief operations near Ahvaz.
For years we have seen Iranian commanders and personnel in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, display their mastery over the Arabic language as they helped the local people in the said countries to defeat the devilish plots of the US, the Zionists, and the Arab reactionary regimes.
Now, Iraq’s popular anti-terrorism squads, who have turned into nightmares the American dreams to dominate their country and the region, have in a remarkable show of fraternity, proven their sense of gratitude towards the Islamic Republic and the Iranian Muslim people in the hour of need.
This display of solidarity and the resolve of the Iraqis to stand beside Iranians in all fields, seems to have shocked the criminal clique of Donald Trump, which terrified about the failure of its policy of state terrorism against the Islamic Republic, recently branded the famed humanitarian defence organisation, the Islamic Revolution’s Guards Corps (IRGC), as ‘terrorists’ – a laughable label that nonetheless made leaders and senior commanders of the various units of the PMU, gather at the Iranian embassy in Baghdad to denounce the satanic American move and to reaffirm their resolve to rid their country of the hated US soldiers.
It is yet another proof of the fact that the several millennia old ties between the Iranian and Iraqi people are so firm that the 8-year war the US had imposed on the Islamic Republic in the 1980s through Saddam of the brutal Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad, failed to create bad blood between the two neighbouring Muslim peoples.
No wonder, the traitors who had openly sided with Saddam during the devastating war against their own homeland, are beating themselves blue at the sight of devout Iraqi Muslim volunteers helping the flood-stricken Iranian people.
Treasonous elements of all hue and colour, which are in league with the US, the Zionists, and other archenemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, are also suffering bouts of dementia at the prospects of the Iraqi military forces, making common cause with the IRGC and the Iranian army, to drive out the terrorist American soldiers from the soil of Mesopotamia.
And also from the Levant, where the patriotic Syrians and Lebanon’s legendary anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah, are eagerly counting the days for the grand march to liberate Palestine and Bayt al-Moqaddas
The CENTCOM terrorists might be shaking in their shoes but there is nothing they can do against the iron-resolve of the Resistant Front led by Iran.
These are all undeniable signs of the wise and prudent policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in accordance with the letter and spirit of the holy Qur’an, the adherence to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), and the abidance by the teachings of the Immaculate Imams of the Ahl-Bayt, to build people-to-people grassroots ties throughout the neighbourhood, much to the chagrin of the Zionists, the American, the unrepresentative reactionary regimes, and the hypocrites.
Surely goodwill and goodness pay; and the Iraqi and other Muslim masses of the region – including Bahrain, the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, and elsewhere – will never forget Iran’s active support in keeping the region free of the filth of the Takfiri and other terrorist outfits.
