Ayatollah Khamenei to Iranian Nation:

Be Vigilant! Enemy May Have Plans for 2019

TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei urged Iranians on Wednesday to stay united, saying the United States would exploit divisions and was likely to launch plots against Iran in 2019.
Iran is struggling with the economic impact of President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of a 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and six major powers and re-impose sanctions.
"The Iranian nation should maintain their awareness. When the U.S. says in 2018 they will do this or that, it could be a deceitful plot. They might want to stir controversy in 2018 while their actual plots are for 2019. You should be completely ready and alerted,” the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei described the U.S. as a sly and evil enemy.
"The U.S. is a wicked enemy, united with the Zionists and the reactionary regimes of the region. We are of course stronger and until now they have been unable to do a thing, and they won't be able to anything in the future.”
"My advice to the Iranian nation, especially the youth and the country's various organizations, professional or political, is to be careful and not make matters easier for the enemy," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader called on Iranians to observe the unmasked face of the government of the United States and take note.
"Look at U.S. officials: see how they are wealth-worshipping, trampling the truth, and disregarding human lives and properties,” he said.
"If you want to know the United States of America, look at U.S. officials and the president of the United States. They have clearly revealed the ugly face of the U.S.
"The U.S. plot against the Iranian nation is exposed. They have no more plots to hit us with and they have done all they could. The U.S. plot is to create problems, conflicts and internal wars inside our country through sanctions and disturbing security. They have done their utmost,” the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei further invited the Iranian nation to watch with attention what is happening across the world.
"The Iranian nation should view these issues with open eyes and acumen. In the face of a storm that is sweeping the world, afflicting this region-- one that has now reached to France-- Iran is on board a safe ship and continues to powerfully sail on this path, thanks to Islam and the Progeny of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him.”
The Leader touched on statements by U.S. officials who assume Iran is on the verge of defeat.
"Earlier this year, the U.S. claimed that Iran was to have a hard summer and that the revolution wouldn’t see its fortieth anniversary. To their dismay, this summer was one of the best summers and the Iranian nation will magnificently celebrate the 40th anniversary of the revolution on 22nd of Bahman (February 11).
He called on ordinary Iranians and officials to work hard to develop the country to reverse the enemies’ conspiracies.
"I recommend the Iranian nation to work for the country, wherever they are. Everyone should endeavor for developing the country’s economy and enhancing domestic production.
"The officials should double their efforts, and be vigilant not to be deceived by the enemy’s words, so the enemy they expel through the door cannot get back in through the window. What I feel should be done with regard to the people’s economic problems is to enhance domestic production.”
Iran has said the United States, the occupying regime of Israel, Saudi Arabia and terrorists living in exile are trying to foment unrest.
Ayatollah Khamenei hit out at the U.S. for its complicity in Saudi crimes against the Yemeni nation, calling it one example of mayhems caused by the United States.
"Yemen is one example. The Saudis are committing the crimes but the U.S. is their partner in crime and they also admit it. They target hospitals, bazaars, and gatherings of people. They are criminals. This is the face of the United States.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also criticized those Muslim states which have established close ties with arrogant hostile powers.
"Today, some in the Muslim world have made friendly pledges to the enemy. The crime that Al Saud is committing by usurping Yemen will turn out to be detrimental to themselves.
"It’s been nearly four years since they started to commit atrocities in Yemen. They thought they would overcome Yemen in a few days or a few weeks, but as they advance, their defeat will be harder and the blow they will receive will be stronger.”
The Leader further slammed Saudi rulers for being merciless to other Muslims.
"Those who serve as the Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques should be ‘stern with the infidels. Yet, they are stern with Yemen, and stern with Bahrain. This will arouse God’s wrath,” he said.
