Quake Shakes City in Southern Iran

TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale jolted Jannat Shahr in southern province of Fars in Iran early Sunday.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There was no immediate report on possible damage to life or properties, the official IRNA news agency said.
A 4.6-magnitude earthquake shook Hajdak village in Rawr province in Kerman, southeast of Iran, last Friday.
Last November, a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck Ozgoleh region in the Kermanshah province of western Iran, leaving more than 620 people dead and about 12,000 others injured.
Iran sits on major seismological fault lines, making it one of the world's most quake-prone countries.
