Trump’s Diplomatic Misdemeanor Set to Boomerang Badly

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

Donald Trump’s diplomatic misdemeanor in both Belgium and Britain has made psychiatrists, astrologers, and genealogists embark on a serious study to find out where the fault lies with the US president – in his mind, in his stars, or in his genes.
The way he misbehaved at the NATO summit in Brussels by belittling his own fatherland Germany for alleged kowtowing to Russia, and then in the UK ridiculed the policies of a surprised host, Prime Minister Theresa May, before holing up for the weekend at the Turnberry Golf Course in his motherland Scotland in order to avoid the massive rallies against him that had scared him from setting foot in London, left little doubt that Trump is a megalomaniac.
He is a scoundrel as well, as was evident from his feverish tirade at both venues against the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose prudent policies in the region and the international scenes, coupled with its ever-growing capabilities and clout has robbed him of his sleep, and instilled in him the preposterous idea that he can browbeat Tehran into submission through sanctions and attempts to prevent oil exports.
He has certainly made a mockery of himself, having failed to understand that he cannot do a damn thing against the might of Iran and the Islamic Revolution.
Trump’s criminalist comments have already deepened his unpopularity, not just in the US, but throughout the world, especially among the leaders and people of Europe, which used to be a traditional American ally and now is gradually drifting away, since Europeans do not want a foreign leader to meddle in their domestic affairs.
Interestingly, neither his paternal grandfather’s relatives in Germany have showed any sympathy for him nor has his mother’s Scottish clan that still lives in the Outer Hebrides islands, and none have bothered to come to Aberdeen on his private estate to see him.
This mentally disturbed guy – or "dotard” to borrow the apt epithet bestowed upon him by North Korea – whose blimp in the shape of a baby emblazoned with Trump’s face, was flown by hundreds of thousands of protestors in London and in Aberdeen to denounce his policies, was even outclassed in a tweeter duel with Sadiq Khan the mayor of the British capital.
Thus, shunned by all and liked by no one, Trump now heads to Helsinki, the capital of Finland, for a summit with President Vladimir of Russia, a master politician, who will certainly hold his ground on Crimea and Ukraine, without yielding to any outlandish demands regarding Syria, where the illegal American military presence has no chance of survival.
