US-Zionist Terrorism Unable to Dent Resistance Front

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

At a time when peace and stability are slowly returning to Syria, following defeats after disastrous defeats of the various terrorist outfits that had seized large chunks of territory with the money and weapons provided by Arab reactionary regimes, the Villain of Piece is trying to shatter the peace of the Syrian people.
The latest incident in this regard was the murderous airstrike last Sunday night on the town of al-Hari in Deir Ezzor Province, near the border with Iraq that left 52 fighters martyred, including 22 members of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
It is obvious who carried out this latest act of state terrorism and for what reasons. It is also crystal clear where Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his henchmen are hiding and under whose protection.
The US and the Zionist entity are two sides of the same coin, and both these evil powers are alarmed at the prospects of Syria rising from the fires of sedition like a phoenix, with the support of Iran, to form a powerful front for the Palestinian cause, with the emerging PMU-partnered coalition government of Iraq.
Damascus has demanded explanation from Washington for its latest act of state terrorism, and so has Baghdad, which condemned it as support for Daesh.
No explanations are expected from Washington, which at first denied any involvement and then said Israel may have carried it out. It didn’t say how Zionist aircraft flew so deep into Syria without being detected and whether they used Jordanian airspace to strike the route linking Baghdad to Damascus through Abu Kamal which is fast developing into a base of Resistance Forces moving between Syria and Iraq.
Irrespective of the lies of Pentagon Spokesman, Major Adrian Rankine-Galloway, the fact cannot be denied that the dastardly terrorist attack occurred only three days after the Syrian army reclaimed the 40-km Haql al-Ward-Faydha Ibn Mowayne Highway in Deir ez-Zor’s Mayadin District and cleared the roadside mines planted by the Daesh terrorists.
It also came on the heels of the announcement in Baghdad of the formal alliance between the as-Sairoun party of Moqtada Sadr and the al-Fath Party of prominent PMU leader, Hadi al-Ameri, to form a broad-based coalition government in Iraq.
These developments, coupled with the fact that Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah, will play the leading role in government taking shape in Beirut, have upset the calculations of the US, which recently double-crossed the Syrian Kurds by forcing the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to vacate the northern Syria city of Manbij, and allowing Turkey to seize it.
The SDF promptly declared that it was ready to talk unconditionally to the Syrian government for settlement of the Kurdish problem, thereby further embarrassing the US, which as some analysts point out, carried out the Sunday attack in collaboration with the Zionist entity, to serve notice to the Syrian government, the Syrian Kurds, and the Iraqi combatant groups that Washington fully supports the defeated Daesh and might unleash these head-chopping and liver-eating terrorists once again on the region.
Irrespective of the devilish plots of the US and the illegal Zionist entity, which in frustration has increased the frequency of its airstrikes on sovereign Syrian territory, the ultimate victory belongs only to the people of Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Iran, as is evident by the statements of President Bashar al-Assad that Iranian advisors and the Lebanese Resistance Forces will continue to remain in Syria as long as they are needed for the peace and security of the country, whose every inch will be liberated.
And that includes not just Daraa on the Jordan border or Idlib Province that borders Turkey, but the Golan Heights as well, and Insha Allah (God Willing) the end of the illegal existence of the Zionist entity in Palestine.
