Iran Greco-Roman Wrestlers Get Two Medals in Russia


TEHRAN (Press TV) - Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers won two medals, including a gold, at the 33rd edition of the World Military Wrestling Championship in Russia.
On Friday and the opening day of the Greco-Roman competitions in the Russian capital city of Moscow, Mohammad Nourbakhsh defeated a representative from the host nation 4-3 in the title challenge of the 63-kilogram weight class, and picked up the gold medal.
Shirzad Beheshtitala could get a bronze in the 60-kilogram class as well.
The 33rd edition of the World Military Wrestling Championship kicked off on May 14, and will finish on May 20, 2018.
The tournament has brought together dozens of athletes from various countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, France, Georgia, Germany, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Pakistan and South Korea.
