Iran Rejects ‘Spiteful’ U.S. Rights Report
TEHRAN (Press TV -- Iran on Saturday rejected the "spiteful and politically-motivated" claims made by the United States about the human rights situation in the Islamic Republic and some other countries in the world.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran regards the annual report of the U.S. Department of State, particularly the claims about the human rights (situation) in Iran, as totally spiteful and politically-motivated," Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said. He added that the report portrayed a "distorted and unreal" picture of the situation in Iran.
