Iranian Armed Forces & Equipment Formidable in the Region

"Prepare against them whatever you can of [military] power and war-horses, awing thereby the enemy of Allah, and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you do not know, but Allah knows them. And whatever you spend in the way of Allah will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged.” (Holy Qur’an 8:60)
The Islamic Republic of Iran is marking the annual "Army Day” today in a grand display of the fighting prowess of its military personnel and the state-of-the-art defence technology the country’s experts have succeeded in manufacturing.
Throughout the length and breadth of the country the armed forces are holding parades, with the most dazzling display of military units and an assortment of sophisticated weapons, held in the capital Tehran, adjacent to the mausoleum of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), to whose selfless efforts Iran is indebted for its self-sufficiency in this vital fold.
As usual the ceremony is addressed by the president of the Islamic Republic and is telecast live to the nation and audiences abroad.
The day (April 18) marks the public affirming of the allegiance of the Iranian Army to Imam Khomeini (RA), a fortnight after the nationwide referendum in 1979 on establishment of the Islamic Republic, and the glorious parades staged by military personnel in various towns and cities to announce loyalty to the system of government and readiness to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
After having thwarted the plots of US mercenaries in its ranks who tried in vain to stage some sort of a coup, the army did not have to wait long to provide proof of its commitment, as it marched to the country’s southern and western borders to meet the unprovoked invasion of the Islamic Republic of Iran by Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad at the behest of the US.
It would be repetitive to emphasize on the heroic role of the national army, along with the popular mobilization forces that emerged during the 8-year US imposed war, and how it made the nation proud through its fighting prowess.
And now 39 years later since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran’s armed forces, which in the days of the British installed Pahlavi regime, were dependent upon the US and trained by the Americans – without doing anything of note – are masters of their destiny.
Time and again they have proven their mettle in protecting the country and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution – both at home and abroad.
Thanks to their dedication, the Iranian armed forces could be called the most formidable military force of the region as is borne out by their dexterous use of the defence equipment manufactured by Iranian experts that is superior to the so-called smart weapons of Iran’s enemies, including the much inflated US, to the extent that independent states of the region and the popular forces in the neighbourhood, look forward to Iranian technology and training by Iran’s armed forces, rather than by western countries.
As a matter of fact, the Iranian armed forces have provided better and more professional training to friendly forces in the region, as was evident in the recent defeats inflicted upon the American and Israeli trained Takfiri and other terrorist outfits in Syria and Iraq.
It is an undeniable fact, in 2014 when the Takfiri terrorists swept across Mosul and other cities and towns of Iraq, the American-trained and American-armed Iraqi forces fled without a fight, and the said areas were not liberated until the Iranian-armed and Iranian-trained Iraqi militias took the field to turn the tide of the war.
The 33-day war that the illegal Zionist entity imposed upon Lebanon in 2006 only to suffer a disastrous defeat was another proof of the superiority of Iranian training and Iranian armaments, which the legendry anti-terrorist movement, Hezbollah displayed to the world.
To sum up, according to the commandment of God Almighty to the believers, as is clear by the ayah of the Holy Qur’an quoted above, the faithful should always be ready for defence against the treacherous Godless enemies of humanity, and should continue to upgrade their defence equipment.
If in ancient times, it were war horses, swords, and arrows that thwarted enemy designs, today it is tanks, artillery units, missiles and electronic warfare, which ought to be constantly upgraded, without resorting to the cowardly manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, which Islam strictly forbids.
To sum up, on no account will Iran curb its defence missile technology which makes any would-be aggressor think twice, and ensures the peace and prosperity of the region, since any amount spent on such technology is in the way of Allah and will be fully repaid as per Divine Promise.
"And if they incline toward peace, then you [too] incline toward it, and put your trust in Allah. Indeed He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. But if they desire to deceive you, Allah is indeed sufficient for you. It is He who strengthened you with His help and with the means of the faithful.” (Holy Qur’an 8:61 & 62).
