The Immortal Legacy That Inspires Iranian and Other Muslim Women

By: S. Nawabzadeh
The soundness of a society is judged on the basis of its faith in spiritual values and adherence to paragons of virtue, coupled with its abstinence from vices.
Although no country is perfect, the Islamic Republic of Iran deserves accolades for its observance of immortal occasions that highlight moral values, in order to guide the young and the old of both genders towards ethical virtues that ensure the success of the society in the face of the intense propaganda of the morally-decadent West.
Yesterday, the length and breadth of Iran was the scene of commemoration gatherings on the occasion of the tragic martyrdom anniversary of the Noblest Lady of all times, Hazrat Fatema Zahra (SA), the Immaculate Daughter of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
There were public processions in many cities, with hundreds of thousands of people of both genders in attendance for the Lady who sacrificed her life in order to highlight the rights and role of virtuous women, with proper observance of the freedom of Hijab that grants an aura of dignity to females.
It would be repetitive to say Hazrat Fatema (SA) was victimized by the neo-Muslim society of Arabia that had recently and reluctantly, given up idolatry and the freewheeling ways of Jahiliyya, where women were miserably mistreated.
That is the reason, she decided to stand up against injustice and through her eloquent sermons that are preserved to this day as inspiration for the seekers of virtue, not only presented to the world the proper defence of patrimony and women’s inheritance in Islam, but preferred to bear the consequences of defending the Divinely-decreed political right of leadership (wilayah) of her Impeccable Husband, Imam Ali (AS).
She thus conveyed to posterity the importance of virtuous and just leadership in Islam, without which societies, communities, countries, religions, reforms and revolutions, are exposed to the dangers of decadence and destruction.
The message of the Prophet’s Daughter is for the whole world and for all generations, as is evident by her immortal legacy that has come down to societies over the ages, inspiring them to new heights, as history bears witness.
A firm testimony to this fact was the revival of feminine virtues in Iran, including the freedom of the Hijab, following the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
These dynamic norms have spread throughout the region and over the entire globe as could be clearly seen by modestly-dressed girls and women in European, American, and other non-Muslim countries who are fully active in their respective societies.
This explains for the feverish propaganda of the decadent West against Islam’s feminine virtues, especially Hijab, and its vain efforts to try to undermine the benefits of modest attire for women in a bid to weaken the political power and prestige of Islam and Iran.
The goal of the Godless West is to play the role of Satan by promoting sins, promiscuity, irreligiousness, and all sorts of vices in Muslim societies.
As part of its plot Western propaganda ignores the virtuous and instead focuses on the immoral, the unprincipled, and the obscene among the womankind in the name of liberties, and tries to magnify these tiniest specks of dirt on an almost spotlessly white fabric of Islamic societies in the vain hope of undermining moral values.
The West knows that it can mislead not more than a handful, but it continues to blow out of proportion morphed images and pictures of some paid women, since its main aim is to create despondency amongst women in Western countries, who inspired by the teachings of Islam and the practicability of Hijab and other feminine virtues, as shown over the past four decades by Islam Iran, are showing increased inclinations towards moral virtues.
Thanks to the immortal legacy of Hazrat Fatema Zahra (SA), which can never be dented, the committed Muslim women of Iran, who number scores of millions, continue to prove their devotion to the Blessed Household on each and every occasion, whether religious or political, in their iron-resolve to make Islam triumphant throughout the world.
