WASHINGTON (Xinhua) - The Cleveland Cavaliers trailed by 15 points in the fourth quarter and by as many as 23 in the second half against the New York Knicks, but superstar LeBron James and Kyle Korver helped the Cavs claw back for a 104-101 victory in the NBA on Monday.
Korver scored 19 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter, including five 3-pointers. "This is an amazing place to make a comeback in," Korver said. "I think that unit has a lot of confidence right now. We just kept telling each other, keep chipping, just chip away. Like I said there was still a lot of time."
James finished with 23 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. Seven of those points and eight of the assists came during Cleveland's furious comeback.
Jae Crowder added 13 points and Dwyane Wade scored 15 points off the bench for the Cavs, who made nine 3-pointers in the fourth after hitting just seven through three quarters.
The Cavs haven't lost at New York since Jan. 30, 2014, a streak covering eight games. Also, the Cavs can count two consecutive wins for the first time since the first two games this season, and are now 7 wins and 7 defeats in the league.
Despite the victory, coach Tyronn Lue was not content with the performance, with the Cavs committing 21 turnovers in total, all in the first half.
"Couldn't make simple passes," Lue said. "Guys were open. Got some open shots that we usually make that we don't make tonight. So it was a little frustration setting in and I just told the guys, 'Stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Let's just play basketball.' We had some good looks."
The Knicks were led by 28 points from Tim Hardaway Jr. and 20 from Enese Kanter. Kristaps Porzingis finished with 20 points but shot 7 out of 21.
