US Plot to Stir Anti-Muslim Sedition in Thailand

By Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

The enemies of Islam are at it again. As the genocide of Muslims continues in Myanmar, they are plotting to stir up anti-Muslim sentiments in neighbouring Thailand.
According to reports, the US, the Zionists and other devils in human form, who instigated the supposedly peace-loving Buddhists to cold-bloodedly massacre Muslims in Myanmar, are funding certain media horns in Thailand, such as the US-backed Prachatai and Khao Sod English, into fueling a currently non-existent sectarian divide in Thai society.
They are directing their efforts in promoting the activities of anti-Muslim elements in Thailand’s northeast region, where temples of the Shinawatra’s political network are trying to target the country’s second largest religion – Islam.
Social media networks such as Facebook are being used to fuel anti-Muslim sentiments, since a humanitarian crisis serves the vested interests of the US and its accomplices in crimes against humanity.
In tandem with Washington, the Arab allies of the US, especially Saudi Arabia, following the defeat of the Takfiri terrorists in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, have begun to turn their attention to Thailand and other places by militarizing some unsuspected Muslims into becoming converts to the heretical Wahhabi cult so as to start a wave of violence in hitherto peaceful places that would put the government in Bangkok in an awkward position, and make extremsit Buddhists bay for Muslim blood.
Muslims and Buddhists have coexisted peacefully in Thailand for centuries. Thai Muslims are an integral part of the country’s history and cultural fabric. Halal restaurants are widespread in Bangkok and other cities, especially the Muslim populated regions. Muslims, both local and from other countries are active in businesses along with non-Muslim Thais who have no feelings of prejudice against Islam and other religions.
Though there is a local Muslim movement in Thailand’s southernmost Muslim majority regions that were once part of the greater Malay world, of the country’s 7.5 million Muslims only 1.4 million reside in the far south.
Khao Sod – an unabashedly pro-US newspaper – recently published an article titled, "Rising Islamophobia in Thailand Irrational and Dangerous Scholars,” written by pro-West commentator Pravit Rojanaphruk, which claimed: After Muslims in Khon Kaen registered a converted home as their place of worship – the northeast province’s seventh such venue – a local Buddhist group cited terrorism in its petition asking the governor to deny it.
The article alleges that recently a Thai monk who has called for mosques to be destroyed in revenge for Buddhist deaths in the south was seized by the military and flown to Bangkok to be forcibly expelled from the order.
Conspiracy theories about Muslims plotting to disturb the country’s secular atmosphere are being deliberately circulated, and the comments are filled with Muslim-bashing messages in Thai.
As the US and its media horns around the world have done, these dubious networks in Thailand are spreading lies about Islam in general, and about Thai Muslims in particular, in order to create social division and discord that will inevitably and intentionally lead to violence – similar to neighboring Myanmar.
In such a situation, the Thai government should quickly act by placing restriction on the US-funded media horns as well as on the Saudi nationals who stream to enjoy the unrestricted pleasures of the flesh in certain regions of Thailand, and use their petro dollars to dupe unsuspecting Thais to become Wahhabis.
Failure to stop this sectarian divide from swallowing Thailand will be a blow to the a prosperous and peaceful future for the whole southeast Asian region.
