Kim’s Triumph over Trump in the War of Words

By: S. Nawabzadeh
"The Battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton”
If this famous quote ascribed to Britain’s Duke of Wellington after
his decisive victory over French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, while
watching a cricket match at Eton School where games and sports develop discipline and inculcate qualities to defeat the opposing side, is indication of any truth, then it should be said that Pyongyang has already
triumphed over Washington.
Little did the quixotic president of the US thought that very soon he
would be floored by a smashing counterpunch when he raved and
ranted like a madman from the UN podium in New York, threatening
to destroy the whole of North Korea and calling its Supreme Leader
"rocketman on a suicide mission” for the latter’s resolve to test effective
deterrents vis-à-vis the unwarranted military presence of the dangerously nuclear-armed US in South Korea, Japan, and the Pacific Ocean.
Kim Jong-un, who has honed his skills at the scientific-technological
"Etons” of Pyongyang to outwit the Napoleons in the White House,
responded with a rejoinder that sent even professors at Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, Harvard, and Princeton, browsing through lexicons of the
English language that had been gathering dust on the shelves.
Not only did Kim, who rarely appears on the frontline, took personal
command of the "War of Words” to call Donald Trump "A frightened
dog barks louder”, but added: "I will surely and definitely tame the
mentally deranged US dotard with fire.”
In contrast to the arrogantly ignorant Trump, who lacks ethics and
etiquette and is grossly incapable of properly expressing himself in his
own mother tongue, Kim and his team of efficient translators showed
their mastery of the English language and familiarity with not only William Shakespeare’s "Much Ado About Nothing”, but Geoffrey Chaucer’s "Canterbury Tales”. Surely the uncouth and uncultured Trump
who grew up as an unprincipled tramp, has no inkling as to who the
latter was.
"Neukdari” is Korean for a "dotard”, which means a person who has
entered his/her dotage, and "dotage”, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is "a state or period of senile decay marked by decline
of mental poise and alertness”.
According to analysts, Kim’s rejoinder which has caught the attention
of the whole world and given food for thought to media circles, which
have since become busy analyzing the volatile events in East Asia and
trying to forecast the unpredictable, is proof of the ingenuity and confidence of the 35-year old North Korean Leader in his testing of more
and more powerful missiles and bombs to easily corner and throw out of
the ring the more than double his age American counterpart.
Anyone who thinks the current incumbent in the White House is neither senile nor deranged and is capable of carrying out his "fire and
fury” threats, especially after his latest response ("I am going to handle
this madman”) to Kim’s classical rejoinder, knows little about war and
nuclear weapons, and nothing about Trump.
We in the Islamic Republic of Iran have said time and again that nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction are religiously forbidden
(haraam). We have reiterated total disarmament, which means destruction of the doomsday arsenal of all nuclear-armed powers, and permanent ban on the testing of any such weapons in the future.
Unfortunately, the main hurdle in this regard is the US. The rogues
who march in and out of the White House – Trump being the latest –
impose economic sanctions on independent countries, create terrorist
outfits to destabilize nations who refuse to kowtow to them, interfering in the affairs of free world, back dictators, and instigating wars to
cause wanton bloodshed, destruction, and displacement of millions of
innocent people, without any sensitivity to the loss of human life and
suffering.
The North Korean crisis is Trump’s own making, and in order to defuse it, he should be cut to size and impeached for the sake of world
peace and the fraternity of mankind, especially after his misuse of the
UN podium to blurt lies and falsities against the Islamic Republic of
Iran and threats to cancel the JCPOA international accord signed by
major world powers for cooperation and understanding among all, including the people of Iran and the US.
