How to Stop The Zionist Regime

Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer Given the silence of the international community and the recent developments, it is evident that the Zionist regime of Israel has no intension to end its military rule and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip or other occupied Palestinian territories.
Thanks to the see-no-evil, speak-no-evil friends of Israel, the murderous Zionists have now become emboldened in targeting children, maiming children, killing children, executing old men, slaying women, slaughtering refugees, and destroying Palestinian homes in broad daylight. They also have no intension to revert to their 1967 borders, let alone to help Palestine become a viable state or even lift the illegal blockade on Gaza.
Given the circumstances, it does help to rally in protest against the Zionist atrocities in Gaza or shout slogans to condemn curfews, check-points and shut-downs.
Sure enough, it helps to carry pictures of massacred Palestinian women, kids and men and call on the international community, in particular the United Nations, to break their shameful silence and do something about these atrocities. It also helps if the Islamic countries hold emergency meetings to denounce the onerous situation in Palestine.
It helps if the Arab League submits a "non-binding” draft statement to the UN Security Council to express concern about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling on Tel Aviv to reopen the border crossings and stop ground and air attacks.
But we all know Ralph Galloway, former UNWRA director, who once said back in 1958 that, "The Arab states do not want to solve the refugee problem. They want to keep it as an open sore, as an affront to the United Nations, and as a weapon against Israel. Arab leaders do not give a damn whether Arab refugees live or die."
Regardless, it surely does help to issue resolutions and statements to condemn the Israeli actions and even organize the so-called Arab-Israeli peace conferences.
However, all these "political gestures” are not sufficient per se; given the past experiences, they are far too ineffective to stop Israel’s disproportionate use of force against the Palestinians.
To change their reality and to truly sympathize and help improve the situation of Palestinians, the Muslim world needs only listen to the founder of Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini, who once said: "The whole world will be traumatized and forced to do something about the Israeli atrocities in Palestine if only as a symbolic gesture the oil producing countries stopped for a month crude oil exports to the pro-Zionist countries."
There’s no question whatsoever that nothing else can help sink the usurper regime’s battleship faster than an all-out oil embargo on its Western allies by the Persian Gulf littoral states.
It’s about time the Muslim world took rather practical/drastic measures instead in condemnation of the Zionist siege of Gaza and the suffering of its 1.7 million inhabitants.
Through these collective efforts it won’t be that hard to imperil the strategic interests of the usurper regime and its friends in the Middle East, permanently changing the balance of power in favor of the Muslim world, particularly for those suffering in Palestine.
