TEHRAN (Dispatches) – Finland says it will sign an air transportation agreement with Iran in the near future as it reiterates the country’s support for expansion of cooperation between Iran and the European Union.
The announcement by Secretary of State at Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs Peter Stenlund came during a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi in Helsinki on Friday. Stenlund also hailed growing economic ties between Iran and Finland since the Finnish president’s last year visit to Tehran, pointing to a recent deal between the two countries on customs cooperation.
