TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif, who is in Greece to attend the Ancient Civilizations Forum, highlighted the significance of dialogue for a World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE), an Iranian-proposed initiative that the UN adopted as a resolution in 2013.
"In Athens, to represent Iran at Ancient Civilizations Forum: Dialogue among Civilizations for a World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE),” Zarif wrote in a post in his Twitter account on Sunday. WAVE was for the first time proposed by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani during a United Nations General Assembly in September 2013.
