‘Oblivion Season’ Wins Best Trailer Award at Phoenix Film Festival

TEHRAN (MNA) – Iranian movie ‘Oblivion Season’, directed by Abbas Rafei, won the best trailer award at the Phoenix Film Festival Melbourne, in Australia.
The event wrapped up on Sunday, gave the award to Masoud Farjan for his trailer produced for Oblivion Season.
The trailer of award-winning movie Oblivion Season has so far grabbed many awards of the Best Trailer at TMFF, Indie FEST, Bucharest ShortCut Cinefest and California Independent Film Festival.
Oblivion Season narrates the story of a woman who starts a new life by marrying her lover but leaving the shadow of her dark past turns out not to be as easy as it had seemed beforehand. Now she finds herself the prisoner of her lover and in order to earn her freedom she must fight with the male-dominated society.
The cast includes Sareh Bayat, Amin Zendegani, Shahin Taslimi, Jila Alershad, Fariba Ahang and Mehdi Mohtashemi.
Phoenix Film Festival Melbourne is a festival that celebrates feature films and their creators. The goal is to build a festival that will be on par with Sundance, Cannes, and other major festivals but geared to the truly independent filmmaker, actor, and script writer. Giving them opportunities and opening doors that would not otherwise be open to them. The festival is a showcase for feature and short films from all over the world.
