Asian Refereeing Trios Get Olympics Nod

RIO DE JANEIRO (AFC) - Three men’s and two women’s referee trios from Asia have been selected to officiate at the Olympic Football Tournament Rio 2016.
They are among 88 match officials from 40 countries whose appointments have been confirmed by the FIFA Referees Committee.
The men’s competition will see 18 referees and 32 assistant referees officiate and at the women’s tournament, 14 referees and 24 assistant referees will be on duty.

Assistant Referees: Abdulah Al Shalwai, Mohammed Al Abakry (Saudi Arabia)
Referee: Alireza Faghani (Iran)
Assistant Referees: Reza Sokhandan, Mohammadreza Mansouri (Iran)
Referee: Ryuji Sato (Japan)
Assistant Referees: Toru Sagara, Hiroshi Yamauchi (Japan)
AFC WOMEN’S REFEREE TRIOS:
Referee: Rita Gani (Malaysia)
Assistant Referees: Allyson Flynn (Australia), Naomi Teshirogi (Japan)
Referee: Ri Hyang-ok (DPR Korea)
Assistant Referees: Hong Kum-nyo (DPR Korea), Cui Yongmei (China).
