Boycott Zionist Apartheid

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer Consider this: Israeli fighter jets have launched airstrikes on an area in the central Gaza Strip while another Palestinian is shot to death by the Zionist regime’s troops.
The Monday attacks were carried out after rockets were allegedly fired from the enclave towards an uninhabited area in southern Israel. Also according to doctors and police sources, Huzeifa Othman Suleiman, 18, succumbed to his wounds after being transported to a local hospital. He is the third Palestinian killed by Israeli troops since Saturday, amid simmering tensions between the usurper regime and the Palestinians in the area…
All this and more serves as further proof that the West created Israel to put up a permanent base in the most strategic region of the world in alignment with the colonial rule policy. The West created Israel under the pretext of protecting the "Holocaust survivors” and "creating a national home for the Jewish people”. Yet the main idea was to preserve the status quo in the Middle East.
Lest there be any doubt, Israel not only failed to get recognition and accomplish its mission, it also became a costly base for the West. Desperate efforts by the United States and Britain to arrange peace conferences such as the Camp David, Madrid, and Annapolis also tag along the same agenda.
The point is that the Zionist regime never plays by the rules. They only follow one rule: protection of Zionist interests at all costs. Israeli envoys, backed by the Western powers, have always demonstrated that they never respect the international law and peace treaties. They are never concerned about the international rows raised as a consequence, for the reason they always get the lavish support from the West.
The Arab world, therefore, should appreciate that participation in so-called peace talks, instead of having a united stance to break the siege of the Gaza Strip, only serves as another attempt to recognize Israel. Simply stated, the goal is to set up the much-needed communication channel between Tel Aviv and the Arab world for normalization of ties and recognition.
Worse yet, the past peace talks and accords have all been strategic victories for the West and Israel, with more failures and more harm to the Palestinian cause and rights. The participants of any future conference can be pretty much sure that the occupying regime will be the sole beneficiary again.
Regardless, Tel Aviv will never commit itself to the implementation of any international treaty which might face up to its very existence and interests, just as the way they have acted thus far in response to all UN resolutions and peace treaties.
The only viable solution is to boycott apartheid Israel and its unjust order. People of good conscience should boycott Israeli universities and cultural-scientific centers, as well as products and companies supporting the Zionist entity. They should help spread the movement into the mainstream as its socioeconomic and political impacts are becoming evident.
The international community should call for ending Israel’s occupation, recognizing the fundamental rights of the Palestinian citizens to full equality, and the right of refugees to return to the homes and lands from which they were forcibly displaced and dispossessed in 1948.
