Significance of International Qods Day

Kayhan Int’l Political Desk Exactly 37 lunar years ago in 1399 AH, the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), as part of his dynamic measures to foster Islamic unity, took the decisive step of designating the Last Friday of blessed Ramadhan as “Qods International Day”, in order to mobilize Muslims worldwide for the cherished goal of liberation of Islam’s first “qibla” Bayt al-Moqaddas as well as the whole of Palestine from the yoke of the illegal Zionist entity. Since then, every year, millions of people in Iran and world countries stage rallies on this day demanding the return of Bayt al-Moqaddas to the Islamic fold and end of Israel’s unwarranted existence in the heart of the Muslims World.
Tomorrow Friday is the 23rd of Ramadhan in Iran and most world countries, which means, depending on the sighting of the crescent, the next Friday might be Eid al-Fitr and the first day of the month of Shawwal – if not in Iran, in many other Muslim lands.
In view of this, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ummah worldwide have decided to hold International Qods Day rallies tomorrow on July 10, in order to keep alive the hopes of Muslims for the eventual liberation of Bayt al-Moqaddas.
Tomorrow Tehran and all other cities and towns in Islamic Iran will be holding these glorious rallies with tens of millions of the faithful in attendance.
Qods has a date with destiny, and the day will finally dawn when it is back again as an integral part of the Muslim World, no matter if the Zionists and their godfathers in the West shamelessly call it "The Eternal Capital of Israel”.
These harebrained politicians and their media horns are living in a fool’s paradise. For their information and for the information of their client regimes which are suffocating the life of our Muslim brethren in some Arabic-speaking lands, nothing is eternal, except God Almighty and His chosen creed for all mankind, that is, Islam, as well as those He has immortalized even after physical death, such as the Prophets and the Infallible Imams.
The Roman Empire on which Europe continues to take pride has long disappeared. So have the other empires of history – the most recent being the British Empire which used to boast that the sun never sets on its territories.
This means that the United States of America (USA), which currently terrorizes humanity as the sole superpower, will one fine day cease to be visible on the map of the world.
In view of these indisputable facts, sooner, rather than later, it is natural for Israel to vanish forever from the land of Palestine.
This was the reason that the Sage of the Age, Imam Khomeini (RA), used to call the Zionist entity "a cancerous tumour that ought to be weeded out”, and had said in one of his speeches "if each of the world’s one billion-plus Muslims were to pour a bucket of water, Israel will be flushed out.”
His declaration of International Qods Day was indeed a dynamic step, and has been instrumental in arousing Islamic sentiments worldwide towards the issue of Bayt al-Moqaddas. It was a farsighted move at a time when Arab reactionary regimes had ganged up with the West to try to confer legitimacy on the illegal Zionist entity, following the Egyptian traitor Anwar Saadaat’s signing of the scandalous Camp David Accord in 1978.
The Founder of the Islamic Republic’s dynamic move in 1979 checkmated the conspirators’ plot to dampen the aspirations of world Muslims. It resulted in the rise of Islamic groups in Palestine and their heroic Integadha. At the same time, it busted the myth of the holocaust which the Zionists and their godfathers allege happened in Europe during World War 2. To be fair and frank, no holocaust occurred last century in Europe, where the total population of the Jews on the entire continent (Russia included) was far below six million. Actually holocaust was being planned on a gigantic scale in Palestine – a land to which European Jews have no connection since they are ethnic Khazars without any link to the Israelites of the past – the majority of whose offspring today are Muslims and Christians.
This year’s Qods Day tallies are being held at a crucial juncture, when Takfiri terrorists begotten jointly by the US, Zionists and Wahhabies, are trying to destabilize Syria, Iraq, Yemen and other Muslim lands. These cannibalistic Takfiris are openly saying they have no quarrel with the Israelis who are "People of the Book”, and their enmity is with those who, in obedience to God’s commandment in the holy Qur’an, revere the blessed Ahl al-Bayt of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
The Ummah is in quest of a united Islamic stand, and as Islamic Iran has shown the way over the past three-and-a-half decades, only Islamic solidarity, and not sectarianism or narrow Arab nationalism will liberate Palestine.
It should be interesting to recall that over 8 centuries ago, it was united Muslim resolve made up of Turks, Kurds, Iranians and Arabs that liberated Qods from 88 years of occupation by the Crusaders of Europe in 1188. It means we should not lose hope, and once the Muslims close ranks, history will be repeated.
It is time the UN accepted the rational suggestion of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, for holding a fair and free referendum involving all original inhabitants of Palestine (Muslims Christians and offspring of the Jewish minority that existed before influx of the Khazar Zionists) for determining one single state stretching from the borders of Lebanon in the north to the borders of Sinai in the south, and from River Jordan in the East to the Mediterranean Sea in the West.
Let us earnestly pray to God Almighty for the deliverance of the Ummah from the plots of the enemies of humanity, especially the Zionists and the Takfiris. This will resonate all over the world on the 10th of July, as millions of Iranians take to the streets to voice support for the Palestinian cause.
