The Prime Murderer Talks Peace

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer When the Zionist regime’s Prime Murderer Benjamin Netanyahu says he wants to hold talks with the Palestinians on an “understanding” of the borders of illegal settlement blocs that would be annexed in a two-state solution, he means just that.
There will be no action or commitment on the part of the usurper regime. After all, why steal land only to give them back later? Under the cover of these talks, the criminal regime plans to enhance its diplomatic credibility, which is also why such talks are unlikely to materialize. The way the talks are being presented right now, it’s all about how much Israel gets to keep as a pre-condition, and not at all about what the Palestinians will get in return.

The point is that since 1948, the Palestinians have been fighting for an independent state but to no avail. The United States and its European allies continue to back the criminal regime in Tel Aviv and have no intention to say or do anything that might enhance the diplomatic position of Palestinians.

This is while the Palestinian struggle for freedom and self-determination is in accordance with each and every human rights book, and therefore, should be acknowledged and backed by all governments and human rights groups across the globe.

The pressing question from the Western governments is whether they are ready to ask such a legitimate demand from Tel Aviv? The problem is that the notion of human rights is all about double standards - just like many other issues - and that the West will do everything to put pressure on Palestinians to recognize Israel.

They are also seeking to persuade the new Palestinian unity government to accept the current balances of power, the perpetuation of which is contingent upon their submission to these unfair circumstances and the types of blackmail it exerts.

History shows the West didn’t create the occupying regime to make amends with the Jews living in the Diaspora. Rather, this was a post-war plan to put up a permanent base in the most strategic region of the world in alignment with the colonial rule policy.

The West created Israel under the pretext of protecting the "Holocaust survivors” and creating a national home for the Jewish people in order to take control of the much needed energy resources in the Middle East.

The problem is that the Zionist regime has not only failed to get recognition and accomplish its mission, but also has become a costly base for the West. Efforts by Netanyahu and his Western cohorts to arrange new peace talks with Palestinians tag along the same agenda.
